22 Rooms. 30 Days. 20,000 Visitors

Twenty-three designers used Benjamin Moore paint exclusively throughout the renowned Kips Bay Show House, including a sumptuous CENTURY-painted boudoir.

The relaxing boudoir in the Kips Bay Show House prominently features CENTURY VIRIDIAN O6 paint on every wall.

Enveloped in CENTURY VIRIDIAN O6, the lounge area of the redesigned room speaks to the luxury of solitude the room embodies.

Each of the interior designers had 30 days to fully design and complete the room assigned to them by the Kip’s Bay Show House committee. And each designer enjoyed access to Benjamin Moore premium quality paint thanks to our role as a key sponsor.

“It’s a bit like ‘speed designing’ ” jokes Jennifer Limberg, Benjamin Moore Architectural and Design Rep and key liaison to all of the designers, “I help designers select the right paint product for their project and make color and sheen recommendations...but it all has to get done in 30 days.”

One of her favorite rooms of the 12,425 square feet home was the stunning CENTURY-painted boudoir. “In working with the fantastic team at Studio DB, we landed on CENTURY VIRIDIAN O6 for the walls of the boudoir,” continues Jennifer. “The soft touch finish of CENTURY gave an element of depth and richness, and the color choice delivered an earthy quality to the space.”

Studio DB’s designer statement tells the tale...

Smoke and Mirrors is a modern interpretation of a sexy boudoir. The space is an antidote to the demands of modern connectivity and embraces the luxury of solitude. The room provides a platform to indulge in self-care, with a grand clawfoot soaking tub, a sensuous curving window seat, and a custom bar and make-up vanity. The soft arches of the entry hall create a dramatic sense of arrival with deep green walls and rich stone detailing. A striking hand-painted mural by de Gournay, inspired by the iconic Elsie de Wolfe, anchors the main salon. Contemporary art is juxtaposed against old-world charm throughout. Graphic, multi-colored marble tiles from Alison Rose for Artistic Tile add a modern spin to a traditional material palette in the separate bathroom space. The thoughtful details and layers of luxury create the ultimate escape.

Media coverage of the Kips Bay Show House includes HGTV, which includes fantastic before/after photos, Architectural Digest, Newsday, Real Simple, and more.

The soft touch matte finish of CENTURY, here in VIRIDIAN O6, a rich green, sets off a metallic piece of art.

At the Kips Bay Show House, designers Studio DB chose CENTURY VIRIDIAN O6 for the walls in a relaxing boudoir.

Golds, creams, and blues complemented CENTURY VIRIDIAN O6 throughout the space.
